First Week of College

Luckily not as bad as I thought it'd be... I kinda like my schedule cuz it gives me Friday through Sunday off. (>u< woo three day weekend all semester!)

At the moment, I'm taking Anthropology 104 (Archaeology), Art 210 (3D modeling stuff) and these two stupid math classes that don't count for sh*t cuz I failed the schools math test that I had to take cuz my SAT scores in that category weren't high enough >3<;

So far though, Anthropology is more interesting then all the others... Even though I kinda had droopy eyes at times in his class, but he's a funny dude... Why not art? Cuuuz, weeell. First two classes were really blaaaah. Didn't do ANYTHING art related. Talked about rules for the wood working station, metal works.. Blah blah blah. Then this guy talks about this project he's doing. He's not even a teacher or a student or anything. Just someone the art teacher knows... I was just sitting though that class all bored and everything. Gosh dangit I wanted Devin to come in and start slicing and dicing or something...

The other reason I lost a bit of enthusiasm for the class was due to our first project... So yeah, due to how technology is improving and blah blah blah, people use kindles and stuff more than actual paper filled books... SO! We have to take old books, or books we don't want, and turn that into art. Showing us examples of like, cutting into them, cutting them up, shredding pages.

Now, I know I don't read as often as I should, but I really, REALLY don't want to shred up books for art.. Yeah, that's a big no-no for me... SIGH, but because it's for a grade, I found ONE book at the thrift store called IMAGINE How Creativity Works. Some of the pages inside are a bit torn, and the book is full of a bunch of blah. And once I apologize to it about having to mess it up even more (yes, I talk to inanimate objects). I will start... you know. Tearing into the thing...

But first... I honestly have very few ideas for the project, finding a book about imagination was the closest thing I could get and I didn't expect to find a book like that at the first store I walked into...

Maybe you guys could give me a few suggestions? It'd help me a lot..

But anyways, yeah. Lot of text. Mostly about art. Sorry for shoving this c**p into your inbox's since less then a third of my watchers ever comments and or favorites my stuff.. Like, sometimes I get like 20 views a pic the day I post, but less favs and/or comments. Though a lot of them end up being sketched pictures so I can kinda get why they don't get much attention, but still...

Well that's was left a bit on a glummy note, moving on to my art... stuff... (I'll update my to-do list when I get a few more of those done...)

Oh! wait, forgot to mention. I actually TALKED to a person today, like, more then a few minutes long... Possibly a new friend, a FIRST since moving back to California... But I dunno yet... We'll see...
